AMG Cold Stores implement E-Power Energy Saving Device
AMG Cold Stores Ltd have recently installed a next generation energy efficiency and voltage harmonisation device that is saving the company over €11 per day on their electricity bills.
AMG have been one of the first to adopt the EPower energy saving device by Energia Europa, represented locally by ElectroFix. “Each year our electricity bills increased tremendously. As a business that is so dependent on energy consumption for the running of the cold stores; implementing an energy efficiency solution was the only way forward. ElectroFix were superb in assisting us through this transition; from initial consultations to the final installation and running of EPower” says Gordon Spiteri Director at AMG Cold Stores Ltd, “The system has given us the promised estimated savings as of day one! My favourite bit, besides the obvious savings, is that I can monitor the consumption in real-time online, its great!”
Energia Europa themselves recently ran a test on the device to ascertain its effectiveness. The results showed that AMG are now saving on average 16.22% of their energy consumption a day, 139 kWh of energy a day. This translates to savings of €11.12 per day. AMG are now also saving 83.4kg of CO₂ emissions daily that translates to 9.26m² of forest land saved per day! It is estimated that during the spring and summer months these savings will increase drastically due to the use of other machinery.
The EPower device fits between the electricity supply and the main distribution board and through a combination of Voltage Optimisation, Power Factor Correction and Harmonic Filtration (EBox and EPower exclusive technology) the system reduces energy consumption levels drastically and optimises machinery and equipment maintenance costs. A domestic version – Ebox is also available and yields electricity savings of up to 40%.
